The Westing Game is based on the 1979 Newbery Award-winning novel by Ellen Raskin. The story involves fourteen seemingly unrelated heirs of reclusive businessman Sam Westing and his challenge to them to figure out the secret of his death. The heirs must discover who killed Mr. Westing by clues left in Mr. Westing’s will. The Westing Game was ranked number nine among all-time children’s novels in a survey published by School Library Journal in 2012. It was adapted as the 1997 feature film Get a Clue. The stage adaptation was commissioned by Prime Stage of  Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and was written by Darian Lindle.

The fourteen heirs will be played by seniors Victoria Coats, Adele Frederick, Jesse Harris, Kaitlyn Horne, Weston Maley, Jordan Romines and Nick Robinson, juniors Losie Ladig, McKenna Parks, Renaé, Christian Steveson and Eliza Stratton, sophomore Donovan Connelly, and freshman Caleb Pope. Seven additional students fill out the cast. The show also employs eight students in positions on the tech and production crews.

Richard Luedeke helms the production as director, supported by Tim Marker (technical director), Candis Allwein (costume design), Joel Guthrie and Jessie Smith (set design and art) and Kelly Fink (prop design). The BCS Art Club will realize the art seen on the stage.
