WHY SHOULD I USE SCRIP?

  1. HELP BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN SCHOOL. Every time you purchase SCRIP, you are making a donation to BCS that doesn’t cost you anything because it is money you would be spending anyway. The SCRIP profits are used to offset the difference between actual tuition cost and actual tuition revenue received, thus helping to contain tuition costs. SCRIP profits are split 60% to BCS and 40% to your family.
  2. HELP YOUR BUDGET. BCS families can earn tuition credit for every SCRIP dollar spent, as 40% of the profit from all purchases will go towards a voucher that can be applied towards tuition.
  3. HELP ANOTHER FAMILY by designating the profit from your SCRIP purchases to go towards their tuition voucher.

HOW DOES SCRIP BENEFIT BCS?

The retailer sells us their gift cards at a discount. This discount % is our profit. $100 worth of SCRIP purchased at a 10% discount costs us $90. When that is sold to our school families we realize a profit of $10.

HOW CAN I PURCHASE SCRIP?

  • WALK IN AND PURCHASE SCRIP during our regular business hours. School days 8:00 – 3:00.
  • SEND YOUR ORDER AND PAYMENT WITH YOUR CHILD to school in the morning. It will be filled and sent home with your child at the end of the school day (½ day kindergarten and preschool may be next day delivery).
  • CALL (ext.269) OR EMAIL (info@blackhawkchristian.org) your order to the office. Pick-up and pay for it at the High School Office or the North Campus Receptionist Desk (no credit card payments at NC or after SCRIP office hours).
  • PURCHASE SCRIP IN THE CHURCH LOBBY between and after services on Sunday morning at Blackhawk Ministries.

HOW DO I PAY FOR SCRIP?

We accept cash, check, credit/debit card (we prefer cash or check because of the credit card fees incurred).

WHERE CAN SCRIP BE USED?

The SCRIP certificates for national chains are good all across the country. This makes them ideal for gift giving to friends and family who live far away.

WHEN DO I GET MY VOUCHER?

Because the school fiscal year goes from July 1 – June 30, we issue tuition vouchers once a year in mid-July. These must be picked up in the SCRIP office, then given to the financial secretary to be applied to your FACTS account.

WHO CAN PURCHASE SCRIP?

Anyone and everyone! Your family and friends may purchase SCRIP on your behalf and add their profit to yours. Businesses also use SCRIP for office parties, Christmas gifts and bonuses, customer appreciation, employee incentives, etc.
