Secondary Accelerated Reader
We are pleased to offer the Accelerated Reader program (AR) to our students in grades 7-12. AR is a computer based testing and record keeping program. The students read and test over library books in their individually assigned reading zone. We use this as a positive motivational tool to reward the practice of pleasure reading. It is not our reading curriculum, but it enhances our ability to teach the students the love of reading as well as the practice of reading in order to become more proficient readers.
