My name is Jake Harmon and I am currently in my 10th year of teaching. I spent my first four years teaching here at BCS as the 7th and 8th grade math teacher as well as 7th grade Bible. In 2015 I married my wife Molly, who then attended medical school in the Chicago suburb of Lombard, Illinois. When I left BCS, I continued teaching middle school mathematics to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. I spent one year at Clark Middle School in St. John, Indiana and then the following 3 years at Harvest Christian Academy located in Elgin, Illinois. I am happy to be back at BCS with the privilege of teaching 6th graders.
My wife and I recently became foster parents and have our first foster daughter. She is 3 years old and full of energy!
I attended BCS from kindergarten through graduation. I understand the value of christian education and know the impact that it had on my life. I hope to invest in my students the way my teachers (many of whom are now my colleagues) invested in me.
