Growing up on a farm in Leo, I enjoyed a life-long curiosity about the natural world around me. I studied education and natural science at Concordia University Chicago. My education continued at Loyola University Chicago where I did research and studied molecular and cellular biochemistry. My teaching career began at Carroll where I also enjoyed sharing my love of running through coaching. After having our first two daughters, I taught part-time at East Noble and Concordia, before our twins were born. I was lucky to get to spend seven years at home raising my girls. In the late fall of 2018, I returned to teaching and have been teaching chemistry here at Blackhawk Christian School. It has been a blessing to be a part of the BCS family and my daughters now have made BCS their school home as well.
