Personal Bio

Born and raised in Auburn, Indiana, I graduated from Dekalb High School in 1986.  Received a bachelor's degree in Music Education (both instrumental and choral) in 1991, and recently after earned my master's degree from IPFW.  Landed my first job in the fall of '91 teaching high school show choir and middle school band at Norwell High School in Ossian, Indiana.  After 6 years of intense competition in the show choir world (which was very fun), I left Norwell and starting teaching at East Side High School in 1998.  Worked there two years and then received a call from Steve Longbrake to come teach at Blackhawk Christian in 2000.  I have had the best job in the world for 20 years now.

My wife, Sara (26 years married so far) also teaches at Blackhawk Christian as one of the fifth grade teachers.  She's amazing.  Four kids who all Graduated from Blackhawk Christian (most of the time they're amazing too).

We attend County Line Church of God in Auburn and have dabbled in leading worship sometimes.

As far as hobbies, I love just about doing anything, especially playing board games.

Thankful  to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has given me the best family, job and friends anyone could ask for.
