Doug Pickett's Bio

I am thankful and privileged to begin my sixth year as principal of Blackhawk Christian Intermediate.  My wife, Stefanie, and I have been married for 26 years.  We have five children.  Mason, 21; Clayton, 19; Kellen 16, JaeLyn, 14; and Quinnlyn, 11. I was born and raised in New Haven, IN.  Prior to coming to Blackhawk Christian Intermediate, I spent 20 years as a public school educator.  I spent 16 years at New Haven Middle School and New Haven High School as a teacher, dean of students, assistant principal, and principal.  I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, reading God's Word, reading, and following sports. My favorite book of the Bible is James, and my favorite verse is Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will."
