Mrs. Cheryl Pulver
My passion is for middle school kids! A few things I love about middle schoolers are they are unpredictable, willing to try anything, passionate, forgiving, and fun. Middle school kids are beginning to wrestle with their faith and its complexities as they detour from a child-like, inherited faith, to a more robust owned faith. I have had the privilege of teaching here at Blackhawk Christian School since I graduated from college and am thankful for the journey God has taken me as I have invested in all ages of students through teaching, coaching, and mentoring.
I have been married to my husband, Mark, for over 25 years. We met at Grace College and were married two weeks after graduating. We have three amazing kids that have each graduated from Blackhawk Christian High School. Renee is a receptionist at an optometrist in Terre Haute, Indiana. Courtney is a senior this year at IPFW and will be finishing her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. Michael is a sophomore at Taylor University, where is majoring in Math education and playing soccer.
A few things that I enjoy are swimming, taking bike rides with my family and friends, spending time with my family, taking walks with my dogs, and being the youth director at Blackhawk Ministries, where I get to invest in more middle school kids. One of my favorite verses is I Timothy 4:12, "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."
