Mrs. Betsy Stuckey

I am returning to teaching after being a stay at home mom for 21 years. I have been a
substitute teacher and served in Children’s Ministries at my church as well as an active
parent volunteer at my kids’ school through the years. God placed in on my heart to
think about teaching this past spring, and He opened the door for me to work at
Blackhawk this fall. I am very excited to be in a Christian atmosphere where I can teach
children the Word of God and pray with them every day. I am so thankful to be a part of
this top notch team and kind, caring community.
My husband Chad and I have been married for 27 years. We attend Woodburn
Missionary Church. We have 3 sons, Wil, Jack and Ed Stuckey. Wil and Jack attend
Purdue University (Go Boilers!), and my youngest is a junior at Woodlan High School.
One of my favorite verses is 1 John 4:16 that says: “We know and rely on the love God
has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love, lives in God, and God in him.” I am
relying on God’s love for me as I seek to love and serve others that He puts in my path.
Some of my pastimes are gardening (all flowers, no tomatoes or green beans), bike
riding and taking walks and boat rides with my husband. I also enjoy listening to
podcasts and watching old episodes of Downton Abbey and Little House on the Prairie.
