God's Faithfulness

After growing up on a farm in north central Indiana, I headed to Marion College (now Indiana Wesleyan University) to study Christian ministries and English education.  God continued to affirm that call on my life through various ministries.

I married my high school sweetheart, Teena (presently the school nurse at BCS), and we served in various capacities for seven years. In the summer of 1987, I accepted an English teaching position here at BCS.  It was August; BCS was desperate! I began what I thought to be a one year assignment from the Lord. It was a challenge, teaching 8-12.

After that year and much prayer, I waited for God's next appointment. Each year I have waited for God's next appointment. He just keeps us here!  Our daughter Danielle was born.  I earned my masters in education from St. Francis (now the University of St. Francis). Teena became the school nurse. Administrators came and went. Parents came to live with us, and the research papers kept rolling in!

I feel blessed to have been a small part of so many of my students' lives. It is hard to believe that I am now having their children in class.  God has truly been faithful!
