ALL APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 
Blackhawk Christian School is both a Christian ministry and a school. As such, employees must effectively represent Christ as well as possess the technical skills for the position. A successful applicant will provide evidence of being:
  1. A born-again Christian with a mature walk of faith and whose lifestyle, convictions, and beliefs are consistent with Biblical principles.
  2. Demonstrate commitment to a Christian education by upholding to the mission of Blackhawk Christian School and modeling a Christian lifestyle.
  3. Faithfully engaged in a local evangelical church.
  4. Able to clearly articulate both the Biblical components of salvation and the ability to lead a child to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  5. In agreement with and will support the school's Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, Core Values and Articles
    of Employment.
  6. Able to provide at least three favorable references including a pastor, and two professional.
  7. Able to provide a “clean” criminal background check.
  8. Must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree and currently hold, or be eligible to receive, an Indiana Teacher License.
 
FULL-TIME BENEFITS INCLUDE
  1. Life insurance policy and medical/hospitalization plan
  2. 403(B) Retirement Plan: 5% discretionary contribution to the base salary
  3. Sick Days - 10 days are earned each year with a carryover maximum of 20 days each school year
  4. Tuition discount as provided by the BCS Finance Policy
SECONDARY SCHOOL
 
English Teacher - Full-time
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Blackhawk Christian School is seeking a teacher who is passionate about teaching upper level high school English courses.  It is preferred that this individual have a master’s degree, but all candidates should inquire.  We are seeking someone who, if not already qualified, would be willing to pursue the qualifications necessary to teach dual credit or AP English.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree (preferred)
Indiana Teaching License (preferred)
Previous teaching experience is a strong preference

Math Teacher - Full-time
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Blackhawk Christian School is seeking a teacher who is passionate about teaching high school math courses. We are seeking someone who, if not already qualified, would be willing to pursue the qualifications necessary to teach dual credit math courses in the future. It is preferred that this individual have a master’s degree, but all candidates
should inquire.
