Jay J. Sefton

Hi! My name is Jay Sefton and I'm honored to teach at my alma mater, Blackhawk Christian! I have known Jesus as my Lord and Savior for over 35 years now.

Married to my college sweetheart and award-winning BCS art teacher, Erica Sefton, I truly am living the dream!

Together we are raising 4 BCS students: Gage, Bryce, Drake, and Ciera Joy.

I love adventuring in God's great outdoors, athletics, aviation, reading, raising labradors, and working hard at our homestead.

My favorite verse is:

Psalm 1:1-3

1 Blessed is the man
    who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
    nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
²but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    and on his law he meditates day and night.

³He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
