Mr. L. is teaching his 43rd year at Blackhawk Christian School. His current responsibilities are Lead Teacher for the Fine Arts, secondary vocal music, theatre, dual credit speech, dual credit humanities and artistic director of the Blackhawk Christian Theatre.
 
Born, reared and educated in New Bremen, Ohio, Mr. L. received his BME from Cedarville University (Cedarville, Ohio) and his MS in elementary education with a music endorsement from IPFW (now PFW). He is currently working on receiving master credit hours from IUE to fulfill the HLC requirement to teach dual credit communications courses.
 
He is married to his wife, Lydia. They have two adult children who both are 13-year club members of Blackhawk Christian School, son Tad and daughter Lucy Schultz. Mr. L. is obsessed with his four adorable grandchildren: Roland, Shepard, Zelda and Brom.
 
When not teaching directing or being Opa to his grandkids, Mr. L. enjoys reading, paper crafting and hobby board games.
