this is David Jeremiah 50 years ago Donna and I started the Blackhawk Christian School I wish I could tell you the whole story I'm not sure I even remember the whole story but some young couples in the church we started back there are one of the Christian School I wasn't sure that was something I wanted to do I already had enough to do without a Christian school but they were very persistent and in the will of God we started that school I believe we had 32 the first year Donna was teaching typing to some of the high school students I was the basketball coach for both the girls and the boys basketball team and our children were in that school at the very beginning to see what God has done at the Blackhawk Christian School in the last fifty years is one of the truly great blessings that I have to look back on in my life I haven't had much to do with it over the last year's but those of you who have police said the school and some of the Pioneers like I ate at oppelo and happy Waltz you guys made the difference you made this school not just an afterthought of the church but a DOT on the map and then you go and in the National the state championship in basketball and I'm not there anymore to enjoy that but I was so proud of what you've done I really am excited that you're celebrating the school it's wonderful to celebrate things that God does and he certainly done a great deal for the Blackhawk Christian School we all Rejoice with you. And I are caused to look back over our shoulders and remember how it started and realize that sometimes things start small grow to be huge God bless you all
