in 1973 Pastor Jeremiah asked I ate a taco flow and happy Waltz if they would be willing to start a Christian School and those two women founded this school and put their lives just dedicated their lives to it for those first years and then kept it up until the present happy just went home to be with the Lord and until her dying days her days were dedicated to praying for volunteering at and assisting in any way she could to help Black Hawk Ridge School honor guard and help students grow up to understand what it means to be a disciple of is Aida had to drag happy in at that opening invitation by Pastor Jeremiah she was willing mediately I ate it was because she was looking for the opportunity to continue to do in education what she's been doing in the public school for several years and that is pray and share the gospel with the students that she had mostly in first grade we're happy as a newer believer this was a real test and she had invested some Trust the pension plan that the public school is going to offer and I ate it was ready to give that up quickly and pretty soon after that happy did the same thing and from those days on they just gave everything they had the parents and the teachers and those two women gave themselves to getting the school started and they were incredibly willing to give up much I'm so thankful for them I came six years later by that time the secondary school had been started and there's one person in particular that I want to single out all the faculty all the parents the students to everybody was willing to do their part to make it successful but Dale Wright and his wife Joyce when the secondary school started they started giving themselves to that endeavor and they didn't quit until they left here as well they were incredibly committed and when you got Dale you got Joyce at finally I even hired Joyce and OnePlus One made three in that case though to performed and gave themselves up for this place and help the secondary school really get started there was my assistant administrator he was the athletic director and he coached and taught a full load for what year it was amazing and I'm very much indebted to him he made me look a lot better than I was I got patted on the back a lot because of things that he did so I'm really thankful for that parents were always willing to volunteer teachers were willing to sacrifice and give more time than they really had to give many people did more than one job in those early years we were a community that needed each other desperately and God blessed the school grew we were able to be successful and as that Athletic program continued ruined your Dale's leadership the school got some attention in the community and I've been glad to watch that since I've been gone as well I am so thankful that God brought Renee and me my first wife to Black call Christian in 1979 and we stayed through 2003 finishing with my second wife Nancy both those women were supportive of me and let me do the things that have mini what are the Christian School needs to do and most of all I just want to tell you again the faculty those teachers were dedicated to our Lord and dedicated to giving themselves up do our students for the students sake in along with those parents help train them up in the nurture in the admonition of the Lord What a fine School I wouldn't be sitting here if pass Dave hadn't called me up and asked me to come be a basketball coach that's why I was hired originally as a matter of fact I had to play basketball before the board to let them know that I really knew what I was talking about and 2 years later I became the administrator in 1981 our first graduating class took place then and since then the school has seen a continuous growth in students and and offerings and I'm so thankful that God has seen fit to allow me to play a very small part in a big thing
