Christine Cross

In 2016 God called me to teach at Blackhawk Christian Schools.  I had been teaching in the public school setting since 2001 and never saw that changing or desired a change.  But, God had other plans for me for which I am beyond grateful.

My husband David and I were blessed with three children.  Emily is married to Aaron and they live in Bluffton, Ohio with their four children.  Matthew is married to Madeline and they live in Fort Wayne.  Their lives will soon be changing when their son is born.  Sarah is married to Kelsey and they live in St. Mary's, Georgia with their three children.  

 

These words come to mind when I think about my life:  God, Family, Teaching, Music, and Sports.  I am so very thankful that my three children and their spouses are committed to raising their children to know and love our Lord.  I cannot imagine my life devoid of knowing and loving God and nothing pleases me more than to see the next generation in my family taking their faith walk seriously.  Teaching is a huge part of who I am as a disciple of  Christ.  God has used wonderful teaching mentors from my childhood through today as catalysts to move me closer to knowing Him.  My ministry calling to my church family is to lead and encourage woman who are already believers to a wonderful intimacy in knowing and loving our Lord.   My career calling finds me especially enjoying teaching children to love reading and writing, along with guiding them on their faith journey.  Music and sports are also two things that really "float my boat."  Whether I am playing the piano or at a ballgame, my heart sings for joy!  

 

My goal in life is for the LORD to find me faithful to Him ... at the end of each day and when I draw my last breath this side of heaven.
