Biography of Gene Guthrie, second grade teacher

My name is Gene Guthrie.  I have taught at BCS since 1990 in first and second grades. My father and grandmother were teachers, as well. I gave my heart to Christ at Good News Club when I was six. I know God has called me to be a Christian School teacher because I am passionate about it, and really enjoy building a bond with the students and being concerned for their spiritual welfare.  I greatly enjoy communicating and relating to the parents.

I enjoy my Lionel trains, lighthouses, power-walking, gardening, Mackinaw, and trips with my wife Trudy, especially antiquing!
