I feel incredibly grateful to be starting my first year as the Instructional Coach at Blackhawk Christian School. My husband, Matt, and I both attended Indiana University where we met playing basketball for the Hoosiers. We have been married for 7 years and have three children. Hudson is 5 and a kindergartener at BCS; Baylon is 3 and starting pre-school; Karsyn is 2. We love spending time as a family traveling, playing sports, and being outside. I was the varsity volleyball coach here at BCS for several years and had the opportunity to be a part of the 2016 State Championship team.
I was at New Haven Middle School for 7 years as both a sixth grade teacher and an instructional coach. I have a passion for building relationships with children and helping them to achieve all that God has in store for them. As an instructional coach, I have the privilege of working alongside our staff members to help them achieve their professional goals. It is truly an honor to combine our passion (to provide the best education) with our purpose (to glorify God) in one Christ-centered environment.
One of my favorite passages in the bible comes from Matthew 25, The Parable of the Talents. I believe that God has blessed each of us with unique gifts, and we have an incredible opportunity to bless our Father by maximizing all that He has given us.
